I feel like it's the bottom of the 9th inning and even if I get a home run, I'll still lose the game.  Sometime I ask why I'm even playing.

I'm just going to end up a nobody. *this* is why I want a dog. Dogs are great. Then, no matter what, there'd be someone there for me when I'm feeling like crap. My family is awesome but they're not always going to be around. Especially now that I'm older. Soon I'll graduate and have to live my own life, separate from them. I'm am so very aware of that. I'll be alone for the first time in a long time. I'm not super excited. I'd probably be more excited if I knew what was going to happen. I still need an internship for this summer. Nothing so far. I feel like a failure.

I'm not a failure.
If you could change one thing about yourself, except for looks, what would it be?

I wish I was a little more passionate about life. I'm not a depressed whiner but I'm definitely too apathetic. I'd like to be a little more ambitious. I've had my head in the clouds too long but I can't seem to get it down.

Writer's Block: Over the top

Who would you consider the most overrated musician, and why?

Justin Bieber and all of those disney teenyboppers. Every once in a while they come out with a song that doesn't totally suck but the most of the time they're just eye-candy for twelve year olds.
What goals do you hope to achieve by the end of this year?

I'm hoping that I graduate and find a job in my field relatively soon.

Writer's Block: Conversation starters

Are there any subjects you either embrace or totally avoid talking about when you meet someone new?

I never talk about religion or politics when meeting someone new. I don't believe in talking about mental illness, or family issues, or friend issues, or issues at all in general. I only add those last four because I met someone who brought all that up in the initial conversation. Awkward. At least for me. But the major one is religion. I don't like to talk about religion even with the people that I knew pretty well. Bad experience back in grade school. Yech.

Writer's Block: Rise and shine

What's the first thing you do when you wake up?

Ha. Go back to sleep of course.

Writer's Block: Free your mind

Do you believe society will ever truly overcome racism?

We might overcome racism someday but I think we'll all always be bigots at heart. Have to lay the hate on somebody. I think someday we'll all be so racially mixed that it won't make sense to be racist. By that time something new will have come along and we'll hate it instead. Maybe we'll finally discover life on other planets and we'll be speciesists instead. And of course the bigoted attitudes towards other religions will persist until we're all atheists. So, forever.

Writer's Block: Universally speaking

What would your pirate name be, and why would you be the most feared buccaneer on the seven seas?

I would want to talk to my dog P.J. She died just after I graduated from High School. She was in a lot of pain and we had to put her down. I couldn't stay in the room because I was crying so bad. Very affected by her death. I've always kind of wondered if she was confused and betrayed about me leaving her when she was dying.
Would you rather be super-rich or super-smart if you would only be average in the other category?

Super-rich but with average smarts. Average doesn't seem that bad to be when you factor in all the super-smart geniuses and the brain-dead coma patients. I could possibly be about average right now. Also, if I'm super-rich, I could hire someone super-smart to manage my business.
This is really, really cool. I've been going back over posts, etc and making Wordle's out of some of them. Here's one I made out of a Facebook post I did about a day in Tepotzlan while I was studying in Mexico.
